For my records. -a Deacon story.
This is purely for my records.
"Hi Eden? This is Mrs. Hannah. I just thought I should let you know of something that has happened here at school this afternoon..."
I am slightly surprised at this point. "O.K."
"You see I have a little boy in our class who likes to pick on a little girl in our class. Today at recess Deacon was trying to get this little boy to leave this little girl alone. When he couldn't manage this on his own he found a grade fourer and told him that he personally would bring five dollars to school the next day if this older boy would protect the girl in his class from the other little boy in his class."
-hmmmmm (I am smiling cause I know this sounds so much like my little Deacon.)
"I wanted you to know what had happened. Deacon is not in trouble, but he was concerned when a Teacher heard of this offer he had made and approached him to let him know that he doesn't have to pay someone to protect his friends! If there is a problem he should simply ask a teacher for help...."
Deacon has 7 dollars in his piggy bank. It has taken him a long time to save up his allowance to 7 dollars. My sweet sweet little boy. I love you. And I am so proud of you for this selfless little act. You are so kind, and gentle. Its one of the many things that I admire about you.
Love,
Mom.

Best story I have heard in a long time. He is such a little sweetheart.
He is so sweet. How lucky his friends are to have such a loyal friend.
this just warms my heart. Such a sweetie you have. this speaks so much to how much you two rock as parents.
He is such a good boy with such a special spirit and you have obviously done an amazing job raising him. He's as sweet as he is handsome.
Oh, thats so cute!
awesome story, yeah for Deacon! P.S the brag books I posted to my blog, I found them on designaglow.com, I love their resources.
I can't believe he tried to hire a bodyguard for his little friend! Deacon is sooooo sweet...and surprisingly resourceful. (I predict he'll either be a philanthropist with a compassionate business-sense or a mobster. Hmmmmm.)
This just makes me smile. What a kid...
