I really wish I had taken better before pictures of our house. I just was so excited to get to work (haha. ok, I was just so excited for DAYLAN to get to work on the house) that I didn't really think about how fun it would be to have good before picture to compare to. The night we got the keys we had family over for a little house warming party. To see the concern on some of their faces was a little unnerving! But that night they pulled up the carpet in the main floor. There was so much help we received from those boys. Thank you so much! Here is our front entry today.

Love your style, Eden. I can't wait to see more!
I totally love this space. And since I know you won't tell everyone all you did - I will! Is that okay?!! Anyway, I think it is so great that you refurbished and used the original light fixture. So cool and so classic. If people could see inside the beautiful new closet doors they would appreciate the great storage system Daylan designed and built. Then there is the tile that Daylan laid for the floor, the stairs he refaced in tiger wood, the cut-back wall that shows a peek into the living room and really opens up the space and the amazing railing you guys designed and had built. Your photography (on the wall) finishes it all perfectly.
Thanks for sharing this. You know that I love your house. I think it is so fantastic. I just wish you showed more views of this space because it is truly a great makeover.
lol. thanks mom. Its just that I feel silly putting these up...but it will be fun to have for my records. and looking back at the before photos reminds me of how much work it really all was. ALL THAT DUST. EVERYWHERE!!!! so glad that part is behind us. Oh and those tiles- the hours I sent trying to clean off the grout. sigh. I thought it would never come clean! that was a mistake we will never make again!
Of course, I love it. I think you and Daylan could have a side business - so awesome! Your house is going to be worth millions when you are done!
you have got to kidding! I want to move in. Do you mind?
You should not feel silly putting these up! I wish you would post more. It looks amazing!
Eden,
These pictures and your project are inspiring as I'm ready to check myself into the nuthouse over the stress of our reno's! I'm glad someone can sympathize with THE DUST!!!
thanks for sharing the details Cheri, Eden, you guys are amazing. This looks so great. You should share this with a design blog like designsponge.com or the like. They would love to hear how you guys did it yourselves.
The railing you chose is just lovely... a perfect pairing with the spare (yet gorgeous) design of the entryway.
Where did you get the railing from?
