At this point her cheeks are not only rosie they are a brilliant pink, snow is continuing to dust the top of her equally colorful touque and she is having so much fun wadding through the thigh high snow. Its been nearly an hour since we dropped the kids off at school and still she looks like she could last another hour out here. But the list of chores is not getting any shorter and the longer I push them off the more I want to avoid them. Regretfully I tell her we need to go in for a while but can come back out soon. I know she hears me, but she makes no attempt to get up out of the snow. So I try again, and I wait for her response. A smile slips through and she tells me "I can't hear you Mom." "Yes you can" I reply. We banter back and forth and eventually we make our way back inside.
It's something we all know and it feels redundant to be saying it again but...they grow up much too quickly! To see so many changes in these little ones is really exciting and simply fun! So I will take it and cherish it while they are home with me. I know these moments can be fleeting.

I don't know what I love most about this post: the story, the writing, the sentiment or the photo. Her round eyes and rosy cheeks paired with that personality make her pretty irresistible though. I love it.

Thanks for sharing.
