What? This can not be happening! He's 3! My mind draws a blank. He's too young for this! What do I say? "Well, sweetie...what do you think?"
"No. I don't think he is real."
"Well- ummm it's fun to pretend isn't it." Then we went into a discussion about why we celebrate Easter. Just when I thought he was ok with it all he replies. "You mean after all these years, you've lied to me?!" (keep in mind he's THREE!)
WOW. How do you not smile at that? really?! So we talked a little longer till we were both ok with things. My little man. You are six now. And you wanted to help set up Easter for Aubs in the morning. I love you.

Deacon's heart cannot get any bigger- he is the sweetest boy! Even though he doesn't believe anymore, he is so cute to want to lend a hand for his sister. xo
