Ecco Lake Part One

Phew, we are home! after 6 hours to ecco lake and 6 hours back I am afraid to get back in the car with the kids. It was a looong drive for my two year old and five year old. But it was definitely worth every second of repetitively singing "the wheals on the bus" and "miss polly". We had so much fun. swimming, kayaking, target, and simply lounging! We stayed at a beautiful cabin right on the lake and none of us wanted to come home. It was so fun to have everyone together ( minus marky, we missed you buddy). I hope we can do it again next year! Here are a few pictures but I will undoubtedly have more to come....oh and I should explain that last picture. on the way home from the lake we stopped at the buffalo ranch. it was so amazing! I think there was 1300 buffalo on the ranch and they were HUGE, and in heat! haha. seriously though they grunt when they are in heat and it is kinda intimidating. We climbed into the back of the pick up truck and drove around the ranch like a safari! soooooooo cool. It was an evening I will not forget.

Great bison pic!He looks so....totally comfortable and in-charge of his world. I can't wait to see the rest - all of the rest, both from the lake and the ranch. Awesome.

Ummm that buffalo shot is crazy! They don't seem real! How close were you to them?

Sounds fun! Maybe I'm a bad mom, but we drove the the coast and back and I found that the one thing my kids were entertained (endlessly) by was TV. I bought this thing from Canadian Tire that has two screens - it was my sanity!

hey edz, that post that was removed was mine...not sure why it did that though...but we have to for sure make this trip again!

I have to admit, the portable dvd players made the long trip so much easier for us too Jamie...don't know what we'd do without them sometimes. (We had 2 cuz Deacon absolutely refuses to watch princess movies with Aubs...chick-flicks, I don't blame him)
