my AMAZING mom...

hmmm...so-I inherited some of Merin's old pajama pants, only they didn't fit me right. And for the last two months (I know a little long) I have been stuffing Aubs into PJ's that don't fit her any more!!! Then it hit me. I could have my mom make some pajamas for Aubs out of Merin's old bottoms. So I took the old pants over to my mom and a few hours later I had THREE really cute bottoms for Aubrie. And the cherry on top was that they didn't cost anything but Grandys time and love.

Mom. Thank you so much for everything you do!

What a great idea! When my grandpa passed away I asked for some of his shirts. I wanted the ones he enjoyed wearing so that they would easily remind me of him. I'm going to use them to make a quilt for my boys. It's nice how little things can help us feel connected to people we can't see everyday.

I agree...your mom is one talented lady!
What a fun thing to do with those cute pants. Won't it be fun to have Ysa wear the pj's someday too!

P.S. Seeing Merin's cute pj's I realize I need to step it up in the cute pj department. I love the fun patterns!

I am blushing - you are too kind. And you of all people should know very well that there are many things I cannot do, but it makes me feel good to know you would call me amazing.

Talent just oozes out of every Litchfield family member! It is frankly not fair to the rest of humanity...who does that? I remember Ysa's beautiful blessing dress made out of Merin's wedding dress material. What a wonderful gift to be able to sew new clothing out of memories. The PJ bottoms are DARLING! What a perfect little model for these perfect little numbers! Way to go Aunt Cheri...love them!

I didn't realize they were pj's! They are cute enough to be pants! I have to tell you a funny story about your mother's sewing prowess versus mine. One year, down in wardrobe for Jeunesse, your mom attempted to teach me how to use a serger. I have no idea what I did to the scrap (thank goodness it was) of fabric, but Cheri looked at it, smiled very sweetly, and said "I don't think I've ever seen a serger do that before!" That, my dear, is why I stick to knitting!!!!
